Thelma Hubbard

Thelma (Baham) Hubbard was born July 15, 1926 in Covington, LA to the late Gilbert Baham and Mary Taylor. She became a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Moss Point, MS for 30 years. While there she served as a usher. She later joined St. Mary Church of God in Christ. While there she as an active mother of the church.

She was united in holy matrimony to William Spann in 1946 and from this union they produced five beautiful children. She later married Jesse Hubbard in 1954 and they produced ten children from this union. She was devoted to her family and her church family but most importantly she was devoted to GOD.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Gilbert Baham and Mary Taylor; both of her husbands, William Spann and Jesse Hubbard; three sons, Louis Spann, Jesse Hubbard, Jr. and Ruffin Spann and one sister, Rosie Lee Ducre.

To cherish her memories, she leaves twelve beautiful children, William Spann (Josephine) of Jackson, MS, Thelma Willis (Joe) of Jackson, MS, Joyce Harris (Leon) of Moss Point, MS, Charles Hubbard (Tonya) of Pascagoula, MS, Regina Abston (Clifford) of Gautier, MS, Rebecca Johnson (Kenneth) of Moss Point, MS, Anthony Hubbard of Grand Bay, AL, Johnny Hubbard (Cheryl) of Moss Point, MS, Debra Young (Glenn) of Gautier, MS, Ruben Hubbard (Ann) of Moss Point, MS, Eartha Hubbard of Pascagoula, MS, Martin Hubbard (Denise) of Pascagoula, MS, Elaine Hubbard of Pascagoula, MS; one sister, Beatrice Connelly, four brothers, Clarence Taylor (Inez), John Taylor (Mary Lou), Leon Taylor (Barbara), Nelson Taylor (Bobby) all of Covington, LA; 48 grand-children and 41 great grand-children; two devoted friends Carolyn Nettles & Bertha Burns; a host of great great grand-children, nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00pm Saturday, April 9, 2011 at Restoration and Revival Center C.O.G.I.C., 3430 Macphelah Rd., Moss Point, MS. Viewing will begin one hour prior to the services.

Interment will be in Machpelah Cemetery, Pascagoula, MS
